We are currently accepting inquiries for Fall 2016 residencies.
The Lucas House Retreat has two (or three, depending upon availability) private guest bedrooms and two additional cots. Come here alone to get away and write surrounded by nature, or come with your director and a couple of actors to get a script on its feet in the generous-sized downstairs rehearsal area, complete with a Yamaha electric piano.
Relax by the gas fireplace, take a dip or a paddle in the lake, or go for a walk on one of the many nearby hiking trails, which range from easy to intermediate.

THE HOUSE
Built in 1968, The Lucas House Retreat is a classic midcentury house with three bedrooms and a vaulted ceiling in the lounge. A huge kitchen (strictly vegetarian) seats three at the counter, and the dining room seats six.
The rehearsal space consists of two adjacent rooms with a piano and video screen and projector.
THE LOCATION
Located within a cul de sac in Northwest New Jersey, the Lucas House Retreat sits on just under one acre with a spectacular view of Fox Hollow Lake. Wildlife abounds and numerous walking trails are located just a short car ride away.
The secluded lake beach is just a 1/2 mile from the house.
